Editior's Recommendation

Editor’s Recommendation: This is certaintly something you may want to consider in your fungal treatment. It's also easily available in your local phamacies or online. Some of the packages come with a complete grooming kit to accompany the treatment regimen. Users experienced a "mixed bag" when it came time to review this product.

Recommended Useage

Application is usually twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening before bed. According to the manufacturer you can apply Mycocide untop of nail polish. However, we don't recommend this.

According to the box you may see modest results in as little as 2-3 weeks. As always its recommend that if you have really thick nails that you file off a thin layer of the nail so treatment can be absorbed easier.

Better experience

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Well I am reading the bad reviews. Personally, I thought it helped. Did stop the itching I had from athletes foot symptoms. (itching between and on top of toes) Also, my toenail was very brittle and encrusted underneath. Applying product along with gentle filing of the flaking made for a much better looking nail.

I found myself forgetting to apply from time to time so I can't complain abut the time factor involved. You have to be disciplined to do the routine every night. In speaking with a friend who was being treated for a nail fungus via pills, it does take months to clear.

A little pricey but worth it to me. I wish there was a larger bottle for a little more economical price. I will purchase more to continue in this effort to get my toes back to normal.

Luckily read the fine print

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
I saw the ad for Mycocide on TV and had my wife buy some at Walgreens. Before I opened the box, I read the fine print where it said that the product was not effective on scalp or nails; I was buying it specifically for my toenail. I told her to take it back and get Funginail which has the active ingredient that reviewers said the best things about.

Dodged a bullet.

I think Mycocide uses deceptive trade practices in its advertising.

Not for use on Toenails

2 of 3 people found the following review helpful
Used it for a month with no visible results or effects. The package has a picture of a corrupted toenail next to a good toenail so one may assume it's to be used on toenails, but the labeling on the package and applicator states "This product is not effective on scalp or nails." Instructions describe use for ringworm or athletes foot, neither of which I have.

Total Scam

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful
I am a small business owner in Washington State, and dont have time for things like this...but because this was such a deception I wanted to take the time. Last week I purchased a product from Fred Meyers, produced by Woodward Laboratories (Aliso Viejo, CA), specifically-- Mycocide Antifungal treatment.

Due to basketball injuries on my big toes, I have had fungus growing under them. A common problem.

I went to Fred Meyers to pick up a product that would work, and paid around $14-15 for the product--the most expensive I found.

The box has a total of eight (8) pictures of healthy and unhealthy toe and fingernails--photos comparing the two side by side. The most predominant 4 photos on the very front top of the box.Two unhealthy nails (infected with fungus) and two healthy nails next to it.The box is labeled with a large "Mycocide Nails Fungus" in red across the front of the box. The box also includes 2 dual-sided nail grinders in the box. This product obviously is a fungus treatment for nail fungus.

Not so.

This is a very common and troublesome problem that many are looking for a cure for.

In reading the fine print on the label of the actual liquid bottle inside, however, it reads "This product is not effective on scalp or nails"

WHAT--it isnt for nails????

In reading the box closer they are clever to never say it DOES take care of nails. They just print nails all over the box, have large letters that says the product "Nails fungus" (play on words) and then includes two nail files inside.

Total scam. Thought you would like to know.

NO RESULTS

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful
Was hopefull this product would help me with my minor toenail fungus problem. After use as directed for two days and nights the skin between my toes reddened and eventually blisterred and peeled. A week later I still have itchiness, discomfort and reddening.
There was no warning in the advertising or on the package.
So I'm left with a very partially used bottle and an unopened 2nd package that I can't use.
