Here we discuss the exact treatment steps one could use to combat a fungus infection.

Things You're Gonna Need...

  • White Vinegar or Sachets ($5 or $40, respectively)
  • A Nail File  ($4)
  • A Wash Basin      ($2.50 ea)
  • Fungus Treatment ($20 ea month)
  • Wash Cloth ($2)

1. Cleaning

It's recommended that before you start to apply your treatment you either take a shower or bath your feet in warm water. The purpose of this is to cleanse your feet of any dirt, grim, and to also let your nails absorb some water so they become softer.

2. Dry

After showering make sure you sit down and carefully dry off your feet with a wash cloth.

3. Filing

If your infected nails are thick (they usually are with fungus but not always) you'll want to gently file them down with your nail file. Please be extremely careful and do not file your nail down too far. Just take a thin layer of the nail off with the file. You may skip this step if your nail is already filed down sufficiently from previous days to avoid injury.

4. Vinegar or Sachet Soak

Get out your basin and fill it with vinegar just deep enough to cover the surface of your toenails. If your using sachets fill the tub with water just deep enough and pour 1 sachet in and mix. Next you'll want to soak your feet in the vinegar/solution for approximately 30 minutes if possible. When the 30 minutes is up consider discarding your soak or cover it with plastic wrap and store in a cool place. Only keep it 2-3 days max. Gently dry your nails with a wash cloth again.

5. Apply Treatment

Next apply a natural toenail fungus treatment as directed in the treatment package. With the recommended treatments apply two brush strokes of treatment to each infected nail with the brush provided with the product. Also apply one brush stroke to non infected nails to avoid infection. Give the nails three minutes. If your going to be around the house leave your nails uncovered and wear sandals. If you must go out gently apply a band-aid to each infected nail. Wear sandals if possible but sneakers should be okay.

Notes: Do the above once a day either in the morning or night. If you do the method above at night simply apply 1 coating of your fungus treatment in the morning and vice-versa. Continue treatment till your nails are healed completely. About one or two months and you should see dramatic results.
